League of Legends

League of Legends is an MOBA game (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), inspired by the popular Defense of the Ancients ( Dota 2 ) map that was made for Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne.

Players are formed into 2 even teams of champions in either a 3v3 or 5v5 match. Each player can pick a champion from a wide selection (with over 100 different champions to choose from). The game starts with each team starting at either end of the map at their respective “fountain”. A match is won when either the opposing team’s Nexus is destroyed or the other team surrenders. To achieve this, each team must progress through each lane to take out towers (called “turrets”) to make their way to their nexus to destroy it – which in turn gives them experience and gold to make their champion stronger.

The best way to understand this type of game play is to actually play it and see it for yourself. It really is a fun game.
